Catherine May Amundsen, 86, of Ninole, died at home on November 13. Born in Ogden, Utah, she was the retired executive director of the Stockton (California) Unified School District and a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. Visitation 10-11 am Tuesday (Nov. 29) at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Papaaloa. Memorial service at 11:00 a.m., followed by the handing over of the urn in the church cemetery. Survived by husband Richard Amundsen of Ninole; son Jeffrey Osborne of Mountain View; daughters Patricia (William) Manning of Mammoth Lakes, California and Catherine Osborne of Cedar Creek, California; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; Nieces and nephews. Jacqueline “Snookie” F. Mello, 67, of Volcano died October 19. She was President of Aecos, Inc., a Paddler of Kaneohe Canoe Club, Board Member and Past President of the Kualoa Heeia Ecumenical Youth (KEY) Project.
