Musk declares the New York Times a “firm lobby for the far left” after reportedly ignoring the Twitter Files story

Twitter owner Elon Musk called the New York Times a “lobby firm for far-left politicians” on Saturday.

The richest man in the world took to Twitter on Saturday to allege that the news outlet did not publish any articles about the disclosure of Musk’s “Twitter files” the morning after it was posted on Twitter.

On Friday night, Substack journalist Matt Taibbi — using content apparently provided to him by Musk — revealed via Twitter a series of documents and emails that reveal internal communications from Twitter employees debating whether the The New York Post’s Hunter Biden laptop story is said to be censored on their platform of the 2020 presidential election, which they ended up doing.

Several emails revealed that Twitter officials were involved in an emergency censorship of the story, although senior officials were clearly concerned about the move. An email revealed that then-Twitter Global Head of Trust and Safety, Yoel Roth, acknowledged the shakyness of her reasons for crushing the story, but still encouraged her, citing the “lessons of 2016.”

Fox News Digital reported on other documents Taibbi posted in his thread, revealing “that Twitter employees had open channels with powerful third parties, including members of both political parties, so they could flag tweets they deemed problematic and ‘address them ‘ let. “

Taibbi claimed that due to the liberal leanings of a majority of Twitter employees, requests from Liberals and Democrats to censor posts were more likely to be granted.

Despite the importance of this liberal bias in Twitter censorship that has been exposed, the mainstream media has failed to acknowledge the story. All three major news networks — ABC, CBS and NBC — ignored the story Friday night, according to Alex Christy of the Media Research Center.

Clay Travis, founder of Outkick.com, also pointed this out The New York TimesThe site was quiet the morning after the “Twitter files” were posted. Travis tweeted, “There isn’t a single article about @elonmusk this morning or @twitter’s email posting last night on the @nytimes app.”

Travis’ tweet caught the attention of the Twitter boss, who was quick to condemn the newspaper in response. Musk tweeted, “That’s because The New York Times has become an unregistered lobbying firm for far-left politicians in every way.”

This is the second time Elon Musk has called the Times in the past few days. On Friday, the billionaire CEO of Tesla published an article in the New York Times entitled “The rise of hate speech on Twitter is unprecedented, researchers find.”

Musk responded with two words, tweeting: “Totally wrong.
