Columbus, Ohio – The Ohio State baseball program has announced its schedule for the 2023 season, which will include 26 regular-season home games at Bill Davis Stadium.
The Buckeyes open the season in Florida with four games against UCONN Feb. 17-20. The teams will play at Cool Today Park in Venice, play two games at Ed Smith Stadium in Sarasota, and then play their final game at Centennial Park in Port Charlotte.
Ohio State travels to Phoenix, Arizona on February 23-26. The Buckeyes take on Grand Canyon on February 23rd and 25th and play Gonzaga on February 24th and 26th.
From March 3-5, the Buckeyes will compete in the Frisco College Baseball Classic in Frisco, Texas. The tournament will be held at Rider Field, home of Texas Rangers’ Double-A affiliate Frisco RoughRiders. The Bucks open March 3 with Mississippi State before facing Cal on March 4 and Oklahoma on March 5.
Ohio State plays a three-game series at Cal State – Bakersfield and then heads to Huntington, WV for two games against Marshall on March 14-15.
The Buckeyes open their home game schedule at Nick Swisher Field at Bill Davis Stadium with three games against state opponent Dayton March 17-19. OSU then hosts Wright State for a single game on March 21 and Toledo for a game on March 22.
Ohio State opens the Big Ten game in Indiana on March 24-26 before returning home on March 28 for a single non-conference game against the Xavier Musketeers.
The Buckeyes will host their first home conference series March 31-April 2 when they welcome the Minnesota Golden Gophers to Columbus for three games.
Ohio State resumes non-conference play when it hosts Kent State on April 4 for a single game. The Buckeyes then return April 7-9 for a three-game series at Michigan State.
The Buckeyes return to Bill Davis Stadium for five home games, hosting Akron on April 11, Bowling Green on April 12 and Maryland on April 14-16.
OSU plays a single game in Miami, OH on April 18th and then travels to Penn State for three games on April 21-23. The Buckeyes’ five-game road swing will be capped by a game at Kent State on April 25.
The Buckeyes host Illinois April 28-30 and play one game at Wright State on May 2 before heading to Iowa for three games May 5-7 against the Hawkeyes.
Ohio State concludes the regular season with eight straight home games, with UCF on May 9th, Central Michigan on May 10th, UNC – Greensboro on May 12th-14th and TTUN on May 18th-20th.
The Big Ten Championships will be held May 24-28 at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Neb.
The NCAA tournament begins in June with NCAA Regionals June 2-5, Super Regionals June 9-12 and the College World Series June 16-26 in Omaha, Neb.
