Ohio State is poised to take on Michigan in The Game Lebron James wants to make sure the Buckeyes enter the field in style. The Los Angeles Lakers are starting and the Akron, Ohio native sent the team his Nike Air Zoom Generation – his first signature shoe – in cleated form.
James, who has gifted Ohio state memorabilia in the past, took to social media. He said he needs to make sure Ohio State looks good for a monumental clash with the Wolverines, even avoiding using the letter “M” in his tweet.

Ohio State and Michigan meet Saturday with Blake Corum’s status in question with a knee injury, but the Buckeyes are preparing for the Wolverines star to run back. Ohio State head coach ryan day and defensive coordinator Jim Knowles explained the Buckeyes’ approach this week as The Game unfolds.
“He’s a great player,” said Day. “We will prepare for him to play, we expect him to play and we will just do our best. They are a very good offensive player. They have a lot of running backs, a lot of good players, he’s very, very good, we’ll just keep preparing for all of them.”
The 5-foot-8, 210-pound Corum has 245 carries for 1,457 yards and 18 touchdowns in 11 games.
“We don’t spend time investigating whether he’s playing or not,” Knowles said of Corum. “Only assuming he will play. He’s an exceptional defender… very talented. It has a lot to do with discipline and understanding angles and getting your shot when you have it, but at the right angle and playing hard within the scheme. So (Corum included) has a lot to do with discipline because if you’re out of place he makes you pay for it.”
The junior attempted 18 rushes for 118 yards and a touchdown in Michigan’s 19-17 win over Illinois last week.
“It’s difficult to simulate how they run the ball,” Knowles said. “So you just have to get back to your habits and your training. You have to put the guys back in a great position. Make sure everyone knows that everyone has to pitch in. I mean, I think that’s a mentality that everybody has to tackle because they corners, fuses – everyone – they’re going to put different people in a position where you have to make the tackle. So it’s really a mentality. You plan something against it. Difficult exercise. It’s just a matter of habits and everything you’ve worked for up to this point and all your weight training and all that extra work you’ve put in over the summer. It all comes into play when it matters most.
